Which type of logo makes the best logo?

This is a hard question. There are two basic types of logos that a designer can work on. These are the Logotype and the Merged Logo.

Logotype is the company's brand identity. A company that wants to stand out in the industry will put more thought into its logo than any other corporate entity. It could be something as simple as a simple name on a white or red background.

The Merged Logo is the logo that combines the logo that is unique for each company.

This is a personal choice. A designer is only as good as the number of logos they have worked on. I have built my portfolio by doing design work for a lot of different brands. I haven't listed my clients on one following pages.

The process of making a logo

The process of making a logo involves the designer who is working on it, gathering as much information as they can on the different stakeholders, their target market, and the company's competitive set.

They then build a narrative to be used for inspiration, and it is that narrative that is the basis for their work.

Although most people have a basic understanding of the process, we must know the steps we will discuss further.

We will talk about a process used to make a logo when there is only one logo to create. It is an inefficient use of resources, but it is also a quick and easy way to get something done.

However, if the designer is working on a group of logos, the same steps are used, and the rationale behind them is also used.

We will also discuss a process used when there is a lot of graphic design work done.

The process of making a logo

Here are the steps involved in making a logo. We will discuss them one by one.

1. Research the logo

The first step in the process is to ensure that the logo that is being designed fits the brand. What is the central message of the brand? Is it a fashion brand? A technology brand? An entertainment brand?

The first step is to gather information about the brand, the company, the market, and the person carrying the logo.

One step to gaining this information is compiling a list of questions that will help you explore different company areas. The answers to these questions will then serve as guidelines for the design work.

How do graphic designers make logos

This article will discuss how graphic designers make logos and the different ways they get inspiration.

1. Research

Before you start designing anything, there are certain things you must do to begin with a positive idea.

Identify who you are designing for. Are they a business or an individual? These decisions will help you create a logo that's unique to them.

2. Incorporate suggestions

Too many graphic designers do the opposite.

They always take suggestions and recycle the same image in a new format. This might be what's in fashion or trendy now, but when you use it, a whole new world of confusion and visual distortion presents itself.

3. Consider the placement of the letterform

Typography is a crucial element of a logo and should always be considered. Here's why:

a. The size of the logo and letterform

When it comes to size, the primary focus is on the text and proportion to the logo. The size of the logo is usually considered. It should be big enough to be visible from a distance and small enough, so it doesn't overwhelm the message.

b. Form

But font will determine its meaning. So if you use a single typeface for both logo and text, the whole message gets lost.

Examples:

Apple's 'tulip' font makes it look like a symbol or a pot of flowers. I'm sure you can see why they chose that one.

The entire 'The Social Network' logo can be understood.

Instead, take a look at some of the modern logos that work well.

4. Feel

Creating a good logo requires a mixture of both knowledge and intuition. As you read through my advice, keep in mind that while it's a good start, it's your sense of what works best.

5. Consistency

Finally, consistency is the key to a great design. If you have a logo, you want it to look the same no matter where it is.

Example: The website of Cirque du Soleil. Everything is the same: the cool colors, the fonts, the font size. You can easily spot it if you know where to look. It's done well, no doubt about that.

6. Pick the perfect font

Just like the font size, the font size is a crucial element of your logo. It should be the same, no matter what size it is. I like to have 20% of a font's size be bigger, but it's totally up to you how you handle it.

To make logos, graphic designers use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, InView, HLT, Adobe Photoshop Wacom Cintiq, and Adobe Illustrator Wacom Cintiq.

Many designers will work on a logo design based on a brief given to them. The brief provides them a little insight into their customer and lets them see how the business is doing on a few different metrics like sales, social media, audience reach, etc.

The brief also gives them an idea of what the company wants them to do for them, the client's audience et,c.

After the short t, they work on a drawing of their first logo design. This is the logo that the client will choose.

This is followed by a second design, where they try and expand on their first idea. Forth, is they draw more circles, add more detail, and create exciting combinations.

This is also called an evolution of the first logo design.

Finally, they come up with a final design. This logo is the one they will use for the first time. This is usually what the client will choose, as well.

Here is what he does to get inspired: "I use Google Images to find inspiration, Twitter to keep up to date on what's happening and to get a peek at what people are talking about, Tumblr to see a bunch of fan-art and blogs.
