As we continue to explore different facets of architecture, how do you say it? Let’s dive in!
Architecture is an art form that shapes space through creative design. It takes into account many things like proportion, color, texture, and shape to create something special – architectural wonders such as the Taj Mahal or The Louvre.
It is also a field that has many professions attached to it; from designing individual buildings to overseeing entire projects for a company. There are two main types of architects: practicing professionals and academic theorists.
Practicing professional architects work under licensed architect certificates while academics theorize about what makes sense structurally and aesthetically. They write books and produce educational content to help others learn more about the field.
There are many ways to describe what makes someone an architect but one thing is certain, they are educated in both theory and practice. Being self-taught isn’t a reason to not call yourself an architect; there are plenty of talented people out there who didn’t go to school for this career.
This article will talk about some basic terms related to the profession and some fun factoids about the most famous architects in history.

As we know, not every person who calls themselves an architect is fully trained in their field. What this means is that there are many people who claim to be professional designers without having the appropriate credentials.
There are several important roles that an architecture career can have, but none of them require you to go through extensive training. Some of these positions require only bachelor’s degrees, while others call for master's or even doctorate levels of education.
Nevertheless, no matter what level of education you have received, it is crucial to use proper architectural terminology. This includes terms such as design theory, structure, function, and vocabulary related to styles and trends in the industry.
But how do you say architecture? There is no standard way to describe the profession, which makes it difficult to identify professionals and tell whether they belong to the architecture team or not. Luckily, though, there are some universal rules when it comes to saying the word “architecture.

Many people consider famous architecture to be structures such as the Eiffel Tower or the Taj Mahal, but that is not quite right. What makes an architectural work truly iconic isn’t just its form, it’s also its message, what it says about who built it and why, and how it fits into the larger context of architecture history.
The Chrysler Building, for example, was designed by Charles Luckhaupt in a distinctly expressionist style with lots of curves and lines. It looks very distinctive, however, what sets it apart is not what it looks like, but what it represents — both literally and metaphorically.
It stands for capitalism — something many feel we need more of today. The building has been home to some of New York City’s most powerful businesspeople since it opened in 1929.
That doesn’t make what it symbolizes any better, though; power hungry capitalists are one thing, someone willing to risk everything for their dreams is another.

Many think that architects are only trained in one style, but this is not true at all! There are many famous styles that have been identified and characterized as such. Some of these look very similar to each other, making it hard to tell which ones belong to what category.
The classic example of an arching style is called Romanesque. It was heavily influenced by earlier Greek and Roman architecture, and therefore features arched windows, doors, and ceilings. The roofs typically feature large overlapping rounded shapes or keels.
Another popular style is Renaissance, so named because it originated during the Italian renaissance. This style looks like the Romans did with its use of strong vertical lines and proportionate shape.
Not too far removed from the Renaissance is Neoclassical, also known as French neocountry style. Like the Renaissance, this style uses heavy influence from classical Rome, but updated for the contemporary era.
Other important styles include Gothic, which comes from northern Europe, and Chippendale, which comes from England and Australia. These two styles both share characteristics such as elaborate decorations and spires, along with strong horizontal emphasis.
How about some Asian inspired designs? If you’re looking to learn more about Chinese design, then the Muzak studio research center has a page dedicated to that! They describe their style as “earthy, natural, and minimalist.” Check out that link if you want to read more about that style.

As we continue our tour of the Art Institute, let’s take some time to look at how the organization of their collection is structured.
The first thing you will notice as you examine the paintings in each room is that they are organized not by artist or theme but instead chronologically.
This is because the art world works more like history than literature. Artists create new styles and concepts that other people pick up on and expand upon.
By organizing the collections by when a particular style was established, you get a sense of the development of artistic expression. This is important to understand!
Another key feature of this structure is that it uses context to connect individual pieces with one another.
For example, if you were looking at a painting titled The Fisherman, you would know something about fishermen before you even started studying the picture.
That knowledge comes from sources such as books or videos that talk about fishing. So, while there are clearly identifiable figures in the painting, there is also background information connected to it.

The term “architecture” can be tricky, with people having different definitions for what it is and how to use it. Many associate the word only with designing skyscrapers or large buildings, but that isn’t exactly right!
Architectural design goes much deeper than that. In fact, there are several key components involved in defining an architectural style. These include:
Balance – An element of balance is something that makes the piece feel stable and calm. A well-designed house will have balanced proportions (height vs width) as well as proportionally-sized shapes and lines.

For example, a circle is always one of the most ordered shapes you can create.

Structure – Also referred to as form, this component gives meaning to the space and defines how things relate to each other. For instance, a room with no windows would lack structure.

As with any type of art, cost is a major factor in choosing what style you want to be involved in. Materials are one of the biggest costs for anyone designing their own spaces or creating new designs.
Architects must make sure they have enough money set aside to buy all the supplies needed to create their projects. They may also need to source some products themselves as most manufacturers do not advertise directly to consumers.
There are many ways to manage your budget, but there is no perfect way unless you are very wealthy. The best tip we can give you is to join a professional organization that has member discounts and/or memberships. This way you get access to some of the finest resources free!
Many organizations offer early bird discount rates which means you will save even more once you are fully enrolled in membership. Check out the Architect’s Association website to learn about your local chapter and see if there are any opportunities available.

As with any profession, there are different levels of architects you can be at depending on what kind of design work you want to pursue. Some may choose to focus more on interior designs or graphic designing, while others may stick to building and structural layouts before moving onto painting and sculpture concepts.
Architects that specialize in residential housing tend to have one thing in common – they are well trained in drawing and layering buildings. This is usually the starting place for most aspiring designers as they get their feet wet by creating sketches and plans.
Other than that, other factor comes down to personal preference. Some like using color very heavily in their designs so they learn how to paint as part of their studies, whereas some prefer keeping designs simple and elegant.

The first rule is to ask yourself how you want to use your space and what functions you plan to perform in it. This could be for an individual or group, internal or external, formal or informal.
Once you have determined that, then you can move onto designing the space. There are several ways to do this. You can start with defining the area and determining the boundaries, including outside areas like balconies or terraces.
You then choose whether to create a free-standing room or a set structure such as a studio or bedroom. A studio would typically include work spaces, storage, and sleeping arrangements.
A house or apartment is usually made up of separate rooms or structures, but there are also continuous designs where everything comes together under one roof. Either way, once you have your basic structure decided upon, then you can begin organizing and decorating the different spaces within it.
