All students, whether they are currently studying architecture or not, should be aware of up-coming changes to the tuition fee for undergraduate programs at our school. This article will talk about what the new fees are, when these new fees come into effect, and what you can do as an interested student.
The first thing we want to make clear is that this change has nothing to do with if you are rich or poor. The cost of attending university is increasingly becoming out of reach for people who cannot afford it otherwise, even though they would like to continue their education. It is also important to note that while some courses have had increased costs in the past, most recently under the Asean Scholarship Program, there is no longer a discount for being a scholarship recipient.
Instead, the Philippine Government has decided to increase the tuition fee per year for all Filipino international students from PHP600,000 (US$12,500) to PHP1,200,000 ($26,250). These are direct payments only, and there are no scholarships available for this amount either. For many foreign universities, the additional money covers the rest of the educational expenses, making the difference expensive or even free!
This article will go more in depth about which schools are affected by this increase, how much each course costs, and what you can do to help yourself or others become educated.

The cost of an undergraduate degree in architecture is typically around 10-12 thousand dollars, with some colleges offering more expensive programs. This includes all fees such as tuition, room and board, books, and transportation.
Most students are already aware of how much money it can be to go to college, but what they may not know is just how expensive going to school for architecture can be. Many people assume that an undergraduate degree in this field will be less than $10,000, but that’s definitely not true.
There are many ways to spend money while studying architecture, and most aren’t very cheap. For example, traveling to visit new cities to take pictures or study sites can easily run you over $1,000 per trip. Allowing yourself to be spent monthly on food can add up quickly as well.

Now that you have made the decision to pursue your dreams as an architect, what next? The next step is deciding where to go to school!
You will need to consider several factors when choosing which architectural schools are right for you. Some things to think about include: cost of tuition, availability of employment after graduation, student experiences at other schools, and overall quality of education.
It is not wrong to be budget conscious as an aspiring architect, but you want to make sure you do not neglect important parts of the process because of this. Budgeting can sometimes be difficult as there are many costs related to studying architecture.
This article will talk more about some of these additional fees so that you are aware of them before making your choice.

Even though some may consider tuition to be very expensive, there are ways to find much less expensive schools that offer similar levels of education. You should definitely do your research before deciding where to study design!
Many universities now have student groups dedicated to helping students learn about architecture. These groupings usually consist of people with different degrees (some even without them) who are all working towards their degree at the same time.
These clubs and societies exist for every aspect of studying art and designing buildings, so you should not hesitate to join ones related to architecture.
By being a part of these groups, you will get an inside look into how other students learned about the field and what courses they took.

The cost of tuition at an architecture college like UP has additional fees that are not included in the stated price of the program. There is a very popular student organization at most schools called Student Organizations, which can charge up to $100 per year for service charges.
There is also the Professional Organization Fees, which typically range from $50-$150 per year depending on the number of members you have. These include things such as membership dues in professional organizations, conference registration costs, and more. Some students may feel these extra costs are unreasonable so it is important to be aware of them before joining too many professional groups.
The total amount of money spent beyond just tuition will depend on how much you join and what kind of services your group receives. It’s best to do some research and see if there are any discounts online or through social media.

The University has five academic buildings that are referred to as colleges or schools. These include: College of Fine Arts, College of Engineering, School of Hotel Administration, School of Interior Design, and School of Physical Education.
The most well-known college is the College of Fine Arts (CFA) which houses departments such as painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, interior design, film production, photography, and graphic design.
These art forms are mixed into one another, creating very vibrant environments for students to learn about artistic expression.
All CFA degree programs require at least two years to be completed, making it easy to transfer between different areas once you have found your passion.
There is also an Art major program, which does not require any additional courses but instead focuses solely on developing talent in artists. This is great if you already have some skills in producing artwork and want to further develop yours!
Another important thing to note about CFAs is that they offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Undergrads can choose either Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Arts (BA), while graduates can go onto Masters levels with either MFA or MA.

Like we mentioned before, depending on which school you are looking to attend, there is always a difference between attending a campus-based architecture college as opposed to an urban design one. This can be very hard to compare because each school’s tuition costs a different amount!
Most architecture schools offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The cost of education for undergrads usually includes tuition, room and board, and other fees such as student activities and organization membership.
Graduate students pay more only for their housing and sometimes additional fees (for example, research programs). So how much does it cost to go to architecture school really depends on what kind of degree you want and where you live.
There are some general rules of thumb that most colleges use when advertising the price of their schooling. For instance, many have entry level masters programs around $30,000 per year. More advanced master’s programs will almost always be double that.
And don’t forget about living expenses! These include things like food, transportation, and entertainment.

While some academic departments offer only one type of degree, most have two- either a teaching certificate (practical skill) or a bachelor’s degree with emphasis on theory (studies).
In an era where technology is advancing at a breakneck speed, it is important to be able to educate future leaders who are capable of using and creating new technologies. This way they can contribute more effectively towards our society that is constantly evolving.
This does not mean that theoretical knowledge will no longer be valued, but rather that students should consider developing both their technical and non-technical skills. A good example of this is an architect – while studying design theories like space planning, proportion, etc., they must also be trained in how to actually construct buildings!
At UP I had several courses which focused almost exclusively on educating the student in theory alone without any real life applications. This was very frustrating as I would learn something for my course, then find out that there was no way to apply what I learned outside of the classroom.

Undergraduate degree programs require at least four years to be completed. This includes the student’s undergraduate studies as well as their graduate education. Students are usually required to spend one academic year abroad for either an intensive or extended period of time.
Students must also pass two mandatory exams, which have varying levels of content depending on what field they want to enter into (for example if you wanted to become an architect, you would need to take Principles of Architectural Graphics and Drawing, and Materials Sciences and Use). These can be taken once every two years.
Graduate level courses vary slightly from department to department but most require anywhere between three and six months full-time study per semester. There is no mandated number of hours per week, only that it needs to be frequent enough so that students get adequate rest. Most departments offer part-time or distance learning options as well.
Internships are very common in architecture schools across all levels. Some may even require several months long. All paid internships require additional documentation and proof of employment beyond just your resume.
