How To Create Information Architecture Ux

User experience (UX) is an essential part of creating software that people will use consistently and effectively. If you are looking to improve the usability or appeal of your product, user interface (UI), and/or information architecture (IA), then this article has for you!

User experience encompasses everything from how easy it is to navigate through your site to what feel and look like it takes someone experienced with your service to use it. These elements combine to make your users feel comfortable in using your app or website!

It’s important to note that UX does not just refer to how pretty the pages are or if there are pictures; instead, it focuses on overall feeling and perception of usefulness and ease of navigation.

Information architecture refers to the structure of a given system or area of a system- typically referred to as “menu options,” “sections,” or “tabs.” IA can be done at any level of a project, but it is especially important for sites where content changes frequently, such as a magazine or podcast site.

This article will go into more detail about both of these concepts and some ways to apply them to your own projects.

Create website themes

The next step in creating your own style is defining what types of websites you want to create. This will determine how you organize content on a page as well as which colors and fonts you use for it.

You can choose from three main categories: blogs, shopping sites, and documentation or educational pages.

Blogs are usually focused around writing. They may have some supporting pictures or graphics but they’re mostly limited to text.

Shopping sites offer users ways to find and purchase products online. There may be special features like compare tools that show all similar items or videos related to the product.

Documentation and education pages often contain large amounts of information about a specific topic. They may also include examples and illustrations to help understand the concept.

It is very important to know what kind of site your audience wants to visit before designing their experience.

Brainstorm website topics

As mentioned earlier, one of the first steps in creating your user experience (UX) framework is brainstorming potential topic areas. These should be things you are passionate about or that appeal to you, but that also have enough audience to be meaningful.

It’s important to note here that not every idea needs to become a project. Only ones with meat can!

Many companies will use their UX as an excuse to launch new projects, so don’t feel like you need to include everything in your brainstorm — only focus on those ideas that really want to join team.

That said, I would recommend starting small by picking three concepts around which to build. You could choose from:

Topic A – About us page

Topic B – Services page

Topic C – Contact Us form

Once you have chosen your top 3, it’s time to do some research. Find out what kind of information people typically look for when they visit THAT URL, and then add more details to match. Make sure to test yourself, too -- if you cannot recall any specific pages, maybe this site's home page is missing something?

After testing, determine whether there are any resources available to help you design these three components. Are there free templates you can edit and remix, educational articles about designing good navigation, etc.? If yes, great! Use them!

If no, that's okay too! We're still going to give you some tips here.

Page layout

When talking about information architecture, one of the first things you will notice is how some websites use very clean styles and layouts while others are quite busy with lots of colors and textures.

This comes down to what kind of experiences the website aims to give its users. An example of this would be YouTube versus Netflix. You have your normal settings such as fonts, colors, and navigation menus for YouTube, but then you have something more sleek for Netflix.

It is important to determine if an experience is needed before adding anything extra. For instance, when shopping online, no matter which site or app you go into, they all look similar and have rich features.

That being said, it is not necessary for Amazon to use their bright red theme. It is okay if they choose to add other types of designs to fit their product line better.

For them to remain relevant though, they should at least try to include some of those basic qualities that match the rest of the sites in the market.
