An easy way to know some of the more important components of the Linux architecture is by thinking about where things are stored. For example, if you use Google Chrome as your browser, then the Firefox or Microsoft Edge browsers will try to direct you to their website after closing. This is because when you close the browser, your data is saved somewhere else!
A common place for this to happen is in what’s called the Windows “C:\” partition. That is the default location most people choose when installing windows 10. But that isn’t the only one! Almost every computer has an internal hard drive (or SSD) partitioned into different areas depending on what apps and programs get installed onto it.
These other partitions don’t hold user data like C:\ does, but they can be quite important! Because everything in Linux is open source, someone made a standard way to organize all these files so everyone could access them easily. It's just how we have organized our own computers since we were kids!
This organization method is called the Filesystem and it plays a very large part in how well your Ubuntu functions. If you want to do some advanced tweaking, understanding how it works is essential! So, let's learn about them together today.

What kind of CPU you have determines how much memory is needed for Ubuntu to run smoothly. If you are using 16 GB or more of RAM, then there is no reason to worry about what programs you have installed as far as space is concerned.
The OS will use all that it has access to automatically so you do not need to be careful about that!
However, if you are running out of memory due to lack of space, it can cause problems for Ubuntu. It may even prevent users from being able to login into their accounts unless they delete files or apps!
That is why it is important to know your computer’s internal components. For example, most computers these days come with at least 8 GB of DDR3 (dual-channel) RAM which is the default setting. However, some people prefer faster RAM settings which use less space but may not work as well because it cannot handle high speed data transfers.
You should make sure your computer has enough RAM to run all of your software properly and efficiently.

As we learned, Linux has many different components that work together to make it functional. One of these is the operating system itself which comes with several files and folders attached to each other in specific order.
The rise of solid state drives (SSDs) has been astronomical! Gone are the days when people would use external hard disks as their main storage device because they would run out of space quickly due to lack of space efficiency.
These internal storage devices will always be more expensive than external ones, but they save you money in the long run since you won’t need to buy extra storage every time someone else needs some free space.
You can easily find an affordable 1 TB SSD these days for around $100-150 which is way better than the average 2TB HDD that costs over $300!
Since most people now have at least one computer with a lot of memory, it is easy to access lots of documents and files online so no matter what type of content you share or upload, there is never a shortage of disk space!
Some experts even recommend using SSDs instead of normal HDDs to improve overall performance on computers and reduce lag times.
This article will go into more detail about different types of SSDs and how to identify them via case study.

One of the most common questions that new users ask is “where are my usb devices?” There are two main reasons this happens, either they cannot find their device or they do not know how to use them!
If you need to access your computer’s internal storage or other resources such as the internet, then it is good to be familiar with all of the possible port types.
Some people get confused when thinking about these things because there are so many different names for some of them. For example, we have mentioned several already, but what about Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 A-B Ports, B2 Charging Port, Microphone Inline Input, Video Out Line Output, etc.?
That is why it is very important to know which ones exist in both the software and hardware level.

Networking is one of the most important parts in any operating system, including Linux! This article will go into detail about some common networking terms that are very important for users to know. Then, we’ll talk about which ports you need to know for different types of software.
If you're using Windows or Mac as your operating system, these concepts are already familiar to you. But since Linux is not like other OSs, there are certain terminology differences.

Power supplies are one of the most important parts of any computer system, including yours! A powerful battery or cable will ensure that your machine is always ready to run.
Most computers have two types of power sources: internal (within the case) and external (battery or USB connection).
Your motherboard must be able to recognize both types of power source, so make sure you know what type of power supply your current one has before looking for another one.
You can determine this by either looking at the back panel or using an identifying part-number on the box itself!
Internal batteries only provide limited amount of power, so look into getting an external power supply to give your computer more life.

A very important part of any computer system is its motherboard. Your CPU, GPU, and other internal components depend on this piece of equipment for function!
A motherboard contains different slots and ports that connect together various parts of the computer. For example, it may have an SD card slot or USB port for external storage or networking, respectively. It may also have PCI-express (PCIe) slots for adding additional graphics cards or solid state drives (SSDs).
You can tell if your motherboard has these features by looking at it online and/or in person. Make sure you know what each one does!
Because GPUs are so powerful, most newer computers come with several built-in ones as well as space for adding more. You get the best performance when you use the right combination, though. So, make sure you know which ones work best in Linux before buying new hardware!
We could not mention how to install software packages without talking about APT, short for Advanced Package Tool. This is the default package management tool used in almost every major distro — including!
To learn more about APT, check out our article: How to Install New Software using APT. It’s pretty straightforward, so don’t worry too much about that. More important things to know about installing software in Linux are covered there.

As we learned, after CPU or GPU heat is produced, it must be dissipated in order to work properly. This happens when thermal sensors detect that temperature has risen beyond their range.
As you can see, there are many types of cooling systems for CPUs and GPUs. Some coolers have fans attached to them, while others do not. The type of cooler you use makes a big difference!
For example, if you use an air cooler with no fan, then you need to make sure that the case in which the chip resides is open so that adequate airflow can move through it. If possible, you should also increase the speed of the fan or add a second one to help circulate more air.
There are some things, however, that use of different cooling methods cannot fix. For instance, if a component becomes too hot, it will eventually shut off completely.
