There are many free web hosting services out there that can help you get started. You can pick one that is easy to use and has enough space for your new website!

After you have picked your platform, the next step is to determine how you want to organize your website. Do you want to use CSS to style the pages? Or do you want to learn HTML so that you can manage the content yourself?

It’s totally up to you, but we recommend going with something more beginner friendly as your first choice. That way you can play around and experiment more easily. Once you feel comfortable organizing and styling your website, then you can move onto more advanced software.

Outline the content

Even though you may have learned how to design logos, websites, or room layouts in college, it is very important to keep practicing your skills.

Design theory can get kind of dry, which makes it hard to motivate yourself to hone your craft. That’s why there are so many ways to improve your architecture design!

You could take an online art course about designing houses or apartment buildings. Or you could search for example house diagrams on Pinterest and YouTube to learn from those.

There are also plenty of free resources available via sites like behance.com and dribbble.com. These can help you pick up some of the tricks of the trade.

Once you have done enough research and practiced enough, then you should look into getting certified as an architect. This way you will know what rules apply to building with nature and mathematics, and you will be able to stand out more among other architects.

Decide what you will build

The first step in designing anything is deciding what you want to design! This can be tricky, because sometimes people have ideas that they want to create but cannot figure out how to make them work.

Having an idea or goal is great, but it must be related to reality! If your concept does not seem plausible, then probably not. It may also be hard to come up with new concepts due to limited inspiration.

Take some time this week to brainstorm different types of games (or apps, etc.) You do not need to know how to make any of these games, just something from the process can help you find your next project!

After determining what type of game you would like to start creating, determine if there are any programing languages that could facilitate its creation. Most major software companies offer beginner level programs such as Microsoft Visual Studio or Adobe Photoshop so that individuals who love gaming but lack formal training can create their own content.

These programs can easily be learned by practicing and experimenting with them, which is why most people learn programming using one of these products.

Outline the process of building each page

Once you have an idea or a goal for your site, the next step is to develop it into a proper plan. This will include defining what kind of pages you want to create and how many of those pages you need!

The first step in designing any website is creating an outline or structure for the different elements that make up the site. These parts are typically referred to as “layers” or “tiers” of the website. A layer can be anything from a header image, social media links, navigation menu, etc.

A good rule of thumb is making one layer per week. So if you wanted to design a photo album-style site, you would start with finding images and organizing them into a pre-existing template or style.

Thoroughly edit your website

After you have designed your site, it is time to make it live! The first thing that most people do after designing their site is launch it and then start changing things around or editing the content.

This is very common practice, but there’s an important step left out of this process.

After all of your hard work has been done creating and editing your site, now it is time to test your design!

Testing your site means going onto the same domain (or subdomain) yours currently is and seeing if anyone can access the pages easily without any glitches or errors.

If they are able to, then great job! You successfully tested your new website architecture! If not, then it is time to go back and fix those problems until you get it working properly.

Create a company outline

A good way to begin designing your home or business architecture is to first create an overall organization structure for your project. This process, known as creating an organizational chart, should include defining who will be involved in the project, what areas of the project they will oversee, and how much authority each person has.

As designers we spend a lot of time thinking about how things should look, but very little time thinking about who will be using our services. This is important as it determines whether or not people will hire us!

Knowing your market also helps determine if your style is unique or if there are already a lot of architects with similar styles.

It may even help you find other professions like interior decorating or furniture making where parts of your job could be done by someone else. A small shift in career paths can have big impacts on your income!
