J H & H Architects – Why They Are The Best

As architects, we spend our careers trying to inspire awe in our audience. We strive to create spaces that are beautiful, functional, and just plain cool. A sense of wonder is cultivated as people look at your designs and what they can learn from them.

But there’s another kind of inspiration more important than either of those. It’s called “inspiration to action.” This is when someone looks at your work and says, "I could do that."

"I could put my own spin on this design and make it personal," they say. Or maybe they realize something about themselves in one of your shapes or forms and apply that concept to their own life.

We're inspired by how well you've designed these things so let's use that influence to help other people!”

That type of inspiring effect has been shown to be powerful for motivating others and helping them achieve their dreams. People with strong intentions often refer back to past experiences where they felt motivated to act on an idea.

It doesn't matter if you're talking about creating a new business plan, deciding on a career path, quitting your current job, or even choosing to live somewhere – any of these examples would find a willing participant.

This article will talk about 5 ways to add some spark to your legacy project through inspiration. Some are general tips, while others are more targeted to certain projects or departments within your organization.

History of the firm

j h & h architects

The history of this architectural practice begins in 1985 with their most recent addition, JH + HA Architects. Their founders are Jeremy Hunt and Hannah Alexander.

Jeremy Hunt has over twenty years’ experience as an architect while Hannah Alexander has ten years under her belt. They have both worked for various architecture practices before establishing their own company in late 2015.

Their first project together was designing a house for a family they had just met! Since then, their portfolio includes everything from renovations to new construction projects and even creating a mobile app!

They work mostly using computer aided drafting (CAD) software to produce designs. These tools help them organize all the different components of a building or space, as well as create three-dimensional models which they can manipulate and design around.

Clients come to the duo not only because of their beautiful artistic style but also due to their personable nature. Both Jeremy and Hannah enjoy getting to know their clients and understanding what makes them happy so that their next project is inspired by those needs.

Office locations

Finding an office space that is close to your home or work can be tricky, especially if you are in the beginning stages of business development. This could be even more difficult if you do not have much money saved up for investment.

Finding an office location that is close to your home or work can be tricky, especially if you are in the beginning stages of business development. This could be even more difficult if you do not have much money saved up for investment.

The first thing most entrepreneurs do after starting their businesses is search for an office. They look through different listings and reviews online and from friends and colleagues, but few know how to pick the right place for them.

Some may suggest using their own home as an office, but this isn’t always possible. If yours doesn’t feel like your personal space, then don’t make the assumption that it will for others. Investing in your career means investing in yourself and creating healthy relationships.

There are many ways to find an inexpensive, accessible, private room where you can conduct business.

Principal designers

As principal architects, Justin and Hannah work with other individuals to create space in buildings or landscapes through concept and design. They strive to bring out the best in their colleagues’ creative talents while also ensuring that their own creativity is maintained.

Their goal as artists is to inspire others around them to contribute and connect with the natural world. By incorporating nature into their designs, they emphasize harmony and balance.

They believe creating spaces where people can come together and enjoy being outside fosters community spirit and connection.

Additional designers

As mentioned earlier, not every project needs to be designed by only you or the firm that hired you as their designer. There are many other professionals in this field that can help give your design project new life!

Additional professional designers are referred to as “design consultants” which is typically less than $1,000 per month depending on how much time they spend for you.

These additional experts may include; business analysts, creative directors, marketing specialists, software engineers, etc. They all bring value-added services that compliment yours and aid in the success of your project.

This is especially important if you are ever asked to convey what products or features exist within a given space or area. Product placement or feature articles do not sit well with most people, so having someone who knows the field help develop the picture is very valuable.

These individuals also play an integral part in developing the look and feel of the project through use of color theory, style guides, and/or material samples.

Partner designers

As with any successful business, there are always other people that contribute to its success in some way or another. For this firm, their most famous designer is also their partner designer. This person oversees all of the interior design projects as well as being involved in the architectural side of things!

Their main focus is designing aesthetically pleasing spaces while incorporating sustainable practices where possible. They like to describe themselves as ‘humanity first’ architects and use it as a basis for their work.

They have designed many different types of buildings such as schools, restaurants, homes and more! All very diverse and unique designs. These collaborations have allowed them to bring their creativity to new settings and environments.

This not only helps promote the space, but also their own personal style which they express through their work. It is their passion and what they love to do so they feel comfortable sharing it with others.

Office equipment

One of the biggest expenses for most businesses is office furniture and computer systems. Many companies begin their journey to saving money by looking into the best laptop brands, but do not realize that laptops are only half of your business’s technology needs.

You also need desktop computers, smartphone apps, web hosting, and other gadgets to run your business effectively. And while budgeting for these items at purchase time can be helpful, keeping up with technological trends makes it more affordable to get newer models as they come out.

By buying used or online-only versions, you will save money in the long run! Technically speaking, there are two types of used equipment: pre-owned goods and reconditioned ones.

The first type is somewhere between sellers and buyers where the seller pays to have the item transported and then the buyer covers the rest of the costs to use it. This way, you do not risk spending extra money on the item because it was sold before being fully spent on its initial function.

The second type is when the current owner repairs and/or upgrades the device so that it works better than it did when it was new. By doing this, the person selling it receives some additional money for it, and you benefit from having an improved tool.

Tips for interviewing architects

When conducting an interview with an architect, there are several important things to consider. First, make sure you have done your research! Before meeting with this individual, check their website, social media pages, and any published work they have. This will give you a good idea of who they are as a person and what styles they like.

Interviewing an architect is very different from talking to someone in “the business” – even more so than talk about fashion or sports. As such, be prepared for both of these. What makes an architect unique is that they use creativity to solve design problems. Make sure you ask them about projects they worked on recently, as well as questions about their style.

When asking how they develop designs, they may answer by telling you stories or giving examples. Listen and evaluate if what they say makes sense and if it does, note down some details to compare later. No matter what type of question you get, don’t hesitate to show off your knowledge or ask follow up questions.

What to ask an architect about

When you hire an accountant, there are several things they discuss with you during the process of getting your business up and running. They may talk about fees, how to best organize records, what software is needed to run their services, and which tax forms should be used.

Similar to having an accountant help you set up your business, most architects will tell you that they work for either a general practice firm or a specific company. General practice firms can offer more professional services than just architecture, such as interior design or engineering. Companies like H+A (our firm) specialize in architectural drawing and drafting only!

By asking about these different roles and positions, you will know if the person you’re hiring has experience working with other professionals and/or companies outside of just yours. This way, you can determine whether they have worked in related fields before and if they get along well with others.
