That’s not to say that your house will always be empty, but as housing costs rise it becomes increasingly difficult for people without significant savings to live close to where they work.

Many professionals now have to commute hours each day due to poor public transport services or lack of affordable parking. Others feel overwhelmed by the cost of living and cannot afford to feed themselves or their family.

Fortunately, you don’t need to focus only on inspiring awe among onlookers – you can also make yourself happy by creating your own space that gives you joy.

This article will talk you through some simple ways to do this. It will discuss how using natural light in your home can increase your happiness and reduce stress, for example, and how designing your bedroom to give you a sense of calm and relaxation can help you unwind after a hard day.

History of the company

After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design in 2000, Jon Habar was working as an interior designer when he met Hans Hoffmann, who had just finished his Masters degree at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business. The two became fast friends and business partners in 2004.

In 2005 they founded their own firm, which they called “Habar + Hoffmann Architecture.” Two years later, however, the name was officially changed to “J H&H Architect[s].”

The reason for this shift? According to Habar, both names were too long. And shorter is always better!

Since then, the duo has designed many residential projects across America, including homes in some of the country’s most prestigious neighborhoods. They have also won several national design awards, including one recent honor for Best Modern Home Interior Design At Least One Of The Following Elements: Glass, Stone, Timber, Steel or Ceramic Materials (American Institute of Decorators – AID).

What makes these architects special is that not only do they practice architecture, but they also make sure to include lots of beautiful, well-designed furniture and decorations in their clients’ homes. This gives their customers more opportunities to add color and personality to their spaces.

What is an architect?

An architect is someone who designs buildings or areas where people live, work, and learn. They are also called design professionals because they develop concepts into tangible expressions that other people create by putting their ideas to paper.

An architect’s job can be very difficult at times. Because architects have such a high level of education, most employers don’t understand how much more important it is to an architect than what kind of car they drive.

Many things about an architect seem vague and fuzzy to non-architects. This can make it hard for others to relate to them as professionals.

Difference between architects and designers

While both architects and design professionals work with concepts, styles, and shapes, there is an important difference in how they are applied to projects.

As professional engineers, architects must be trained in mathematics, science, and engineering. They also need to know basic drafting skills like drawing and proportion.

But beyond that, their responsibilities end there. An architect’s main focus is on shaping spaces and buildings, determining where things should go and what style should be used for them.

This includes figuring out which materials should be used and being familiar with various types of those materials. It means knowing about different construction techniques and how best to apply them to achieve your project goals.

A designer, on the other hand, will often take these things one step further. He or she will develop the concept behind a space and then find appropriate ways to bring that concept to life through decorations, colors, and textures.

Both professions can contribute at varying levels, but only one is officially “architectural.” The others may use architectural tools and methods, but they aren’t licensed as such.

How can I be an architect?

Being able to draw is one of the most basic things that make someone an artist. But being an architect requires much more than just drawing pictures of houses or buildings!
As such, it’s very important to consider how to best prepare yourself for the career path as an architectural designer.

Undergraduate programs typically offer students the chance to major in either architecture or art, with the latter usually requiring a degree in painting or sculpture.

Students who choose to pursue this route are trained in creating designs through artistic skills like color theory and proportion, but they don’t get formal education in designing structures.

This may seem contradictory at first, but there's a reason why both fields require similar levels of expertise.

Architecture and design involve solving spatial problems by applying mathematical logic and reasoning, which makes it a lot like studying mathematics.

What does an architect do?

That is a great question! Technically, what makes someone an “architect” is if they are accepted into The Royal Architectural College (TRAC) in London or have their own professional membership with The Architecture Professionals Association (TAPIA).

However, being able to describe what an architect actually does takes us back to our initial definition- designing buildings!

But beyond that, there are two other things that make someone an architect. First, they must be educated in architecture – this usually includes attending an accredited architectural college or university, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as certification programs like those mentioned above.

The second key factor is that an architect must work for an office that has been authorized by either TRAC or TAPIA, which requires them to be practicing architects. This means they have to spend at least half of their time doing actual architectural projects such as planning, design, drafting, and/or construction.

Popular architect designs

Famous architects have made their names for creating unique, well-known styles that are identifiable as theirs. Some of these famous designers include:

\- Frank Lloyd Wright – his most recognizable style is described as “organic” due to its use of curved shapes and nature as examples

\- George Nelson – he designed the iconic Chippendale dresser with rounded corners and square feet

\- Pietro Belluschi – his smooth lines and proportion variations make him very distinctive as an artist

There are many more! By studying the work of these artists, you will be able to pick out some interesting features and apply them to your own design.

What is a building?

A building is just about any structure or space we occupy to live in, work in, or both. Buildings are pretty much everything around us that has a function- even if it’s only to shelter our bodies from the elements!

A lot of people probably don’t give too much thought to what goes into creating a building, but there are actually quite a few steps involved in doing so.

From deciding where to site your property, to picking an architectural style, finding a architect, and negotiating construction bids, it can get kind of complicated. Luckily, though, things have changed for the better with software!
