As technology continues to advance at an incredible speed, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep up with all of the new tricks developers are learning. This is particularly true for things like graphic designing and coding.
Most people these days have access to pretty high-end laptops or desktop computers that contain powerful graphics cards and processors. They also use social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter which require lots of graphics processing power to function properly.
As more and more people begin using these resources on a daily basis, the demand for adequate computer hardware to do the same goes up as well.
There is a limited supply of software engineers in this world so when employers start experiencing issues finding enough qualified staff, wages rise. It’s a vicious cycle that can lead to our economy thriving once again!
Software engineering is one of the most lucrative careers you can develop, especially if you are passionate about creating products users will love. If you want to be able to call yourself an architecture professional, then you must know how to design applications oof them!
But before you get too excited, there is one big problem…
Architecture Is An Expensive Profession To Study
All too often students who decide to pursue architectural studies end up working full time hours while still struggling to pay their bills due to expensive education costs. Many drop out because they cannot afford to continue investing in their future career.

There are many different types of Linux distributions, some more popular than others! What is a distribution? It is like an operating system (OS) version for computers. Distributions typically come with built-in applications or pre-installed apps that you can use to get started.
Some examples of distributions include Ubuntu, Fedora, Windows, and macOS. If you are already familiar with another OS, then choosing between one of these other distributions may be easy. You could just go into a store and pick up both versions so that you have a feel for both.
That said, not everyone likes the same style of interface or user experience (UX). For example, someone who loves clean interfaces and intuitive features might choose Android over iOS because it is designed specifically to appeal to users who love such things.
There are also people who prefer investing in products from companies that we trust. This means buying an app that has been well reviewed rather than picking something new that seems promising at first. This article will talk about why it is important to research your options before settling on a specific distro.
The linux kernel is the operating system for your computer or device. Most people recognize it as the thing that uses computers (or devices) power, but you may not know what else the kernel does.
The kernal is always running in the background of every software application you use. Even if you don't see it, the kernel works behind-the-scenes to ensure everything functions properly. It also handles all input and output messages, such as when you connect to internet wifi or check your email.
When you open your web browser, the browser windows and menus are drawn using elements called applications which are part of the graphical user interface (GUI) stack built into the linux kernel.
By this point, you have probably noticed there's more than one way to do something in Linux. For example, there are several ways to make an appication active window, close an appication, or show desktop settings.

Many people assume that since you can use Ubuntu, or Fedora, or Windows, then all of these operating systems are pretty much the same. This could not be further from the truth!
All three of those brands have different software pre-installed by their developers and marketing teams. Some of this software is totally free to users while other applications are paid apps with extended licenses or even subscription services.
This article will talk about some of the most popular open source programs used for graphic design and how they work on each platform.

Many people get stuck thinking that since Windows is so popular, there are not many easy to use drawing apps for it. This could not be further from the truth! There are plenty of free and paid software options available for anyone using Linux.
There are several reasons why this is the case. One being that most major technology companies have at least one developer who creates an open source (free) app. These apps are then shared across all platforms via their repositories or marketplaces.
Another reason is that some developers create applications specifically for another platform and share them with other systems.

The Terminal is your gateway to all of the most powerful tools used for creating, exploring, editing, and publishing content on the web. It’s also one of the most important design principles in use today. When you are using the right tool for the right job, there is a very strong chance that your work will be seen by other people!
The term “Terminal User” was first coined in 1981 when Douglas Adams wrote an article about how difficult it can be to find out what commands to run in Unix-based operating systems. Since then, the word has stuck as a way to describe someone who uses the computer technology under the hood, but doesn’t necessarily interact with it heavily.
By this definition, anyone can be considered a Terminal User because even if you don’t know anything more than CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot the system, you have access to every part of the internet. (And really, why would you want to?)
Architecture students should feel comfortable using the Terminal
That said, there are some pretty cool things you can do with the Command Line Interface (CLI) software we mentioned earlier like PowerShell and Node.js.

While some people may feel that using the Command Line Interface (CLI) is too difficult or tedious, there are many ways to use it effectively. Some of these ways include accessing the CLI through a graphical user interface (GUI), using terminals as your only tool, and using the Terminal as a way to enter commands directly.
There are also several popular GUI shells for the CLI such as GNOME’s Terminal, Xfce4′s Thunar, and KDE’s Konsole. These interfaces give you easy access to all of the tools in your shell and make working with files, folders, and programs much more intuitive.
If you prefer the classic approach to using the CLI, then you can install custom launchers like “Open Shell” which open up a new tab/window within the browser where you can run arbitrary commands. Or, if you want even more control over what you launch, you can create your own shortcuts by writing out the full command line.

When using the Archlinux operating system, one of your first actions will be to use the Sudo Command! This is an important tool for you to know as it gives you super user access or permissions in this case, permission to install additional software!
Sudo allows you to enter a username and password when asked to verify if you have the appropriate privileges. It works by taking the current user and adding another layer of authentication between you and the computer. This way you do not need to input your own login information to use certain commands!
Using sudo correctly can save you lots of time in terms of having to re-enter passwords and credentials frequently! There are some things that require root level access, such as installing new programs, changing settings, or cleaning out files and folders.
Installing new apps is easy enough, just make sure you do not forget your password before running the app! Changing settings or deleting files requires more caution but does not require special permissions.

A very important command to know is that of cp. Computer programming is all about copying files or pieces of information from one place to another. This can be from your computer to an external device, keeping backups, moving files around, etc.
The most common way to use this command is to copy something (like a file) using the source as your current folder and destination being where you want to move the item to. For example, say you wanted to save this document as mydocfile.txt. Your default location would be the Desktop so your command might look like this: cp MyDocFile.pdf desktop/mydocfile.txt
That’s it! You have copied the file and named it mydocfile. Now you can access it anywhere and do whatever you want with it.
There are many more advanced uses for this tool including migrating data, making space available by removing items, and transferring settings and apps between computers.
