This article will discuss how to improve your art and steps to become a better artist, and I will be answering the questions, “does my art feel childish?” and “how to become a better artist?”
There are two things I believe to be some of the most important aspects of art:
If you can’t stand your art, then change it. If you feel stupid, change it.
You are the only person that is allowed to judge you.
This is why it’s so important to be brave enough to change your art, be it once, twice, or five times over.
If you listen to how your friends and family critique your art, you’ll most likely end up frustrated or embarrassed. But if you just listen to yourself, and how you feel about it, you’ll be free to be yourself.
This article is not just about art. It’s about personal development in general.
It’s one thing to think you’re good, it’s another thing to think you’re better than you actually are.
To improve you, you need to either:
Let’s talk about improving yourself first.
Most artists are influenced by other artists. Not as much as other artists are influenced by other artists, but still.
Most, if not all artists at least follow trends, trends like “the golden era of comics”, “90s comics”, “graphic novel”, “transgender representation in comics” and many more.
We all like to be influenced by people we admire.
Not everyone is lucky enough to know a lot of really amazing artists. So we spend hours (if not days, weeks or even months) browsing different blogs, forums, communities and YouTube channels to find inspiration.
Sometimes we get lucky and we actually find a lot of inspiration, but most of the time we find the same stuff over and over.
This is where the most important thing that I will be teaching in this article comes into play. You can’t learn what you already know.
The secret sauce is that there is no magic ingredient to becoming better at art. There are no hacks.
You don’t need a specific “design plan”. You don’t need to study like crazy. And you don’t need to do anything crazy.
All you need to do, is improve yourself.
There are a lot of things you can do to improve your art. Here’s a small list of things that I do myself:
The most important part is, the more you look at other people’s art, the more you notice things about yourself that you didn’t notice before. You start to see things that you didn’t see before, and it helps you to improve.
It also helps you to look at other people’s art, and you find it very inspiring. And that’s exactly what you want.
You want to be inspired, and you want to find inspiration. And that’s the only way that you will be able to improve your art.
I also watch videos. They don’t have to be long, just long enough.
I also pay attention to comments on YouTube.
Most comments don’t say anything useful, but every once in a while there’s something that really motivates me to improve. This also helps a lot.
Most of the time you see trends in art. The reason I keep saying “most of the time” is because it’s not always the case.
If you follow a trend for long enough, you’ll start to see it everywhere, in almost every comic.
For me, there are three main benefits of using trends in art.
The main benefit is that it gives you a lot of freedom. You get to play a little.
It doesn’t matter that you’re following a trend, you’re just copying someone else.
The biggest benefit is that you’re not worried about the look of your art, because you can’t copy everything.
But most of all, a big benefit is that you can see what everyone else is doing. It gives you a lot of inspiration.
You get to see what everybody is doing, and you get to learn. You can learn from the best.
The more that you see, the more you’ll improve.
There is the most obvious one, which is just copying what everybody else is doing. You can use the same base colors as everybody else, and you can copy the same design.
You can put the same kind of effects. You can put the same kind of feeling in your drawing.
The most important thing is to keep the theme. If you copy somebody else’s work and you don’t keep the theme, then that person is going to look at your work and feel very sad. This is what you want.
You want to show people that you’re following the original meaning of the image.
It means that you should keep the emotional feeling of the original picture, but you should add your own style. You should create your own visual narrative with the same style as the original.
I recommend comic books. Comic books will teach you a lot. I also recommend a blog called Video Comix.
‘Video Comix’ is a blog where the original creator draws the same thing, but you can see the comic at the same time. You can see the comic progress and the progress of their drawing.
The artist draws from the beginning to the end, and you can follow the progress. This is very inspiring.
