Reasons Why Art Is Not Important

This article will discuss reasons why art is not important. First, let's understand why art is not important in real life.

Aesthetic preference is based on the knowledge that a given creative artistic expression connects with something deep within oneself. Aesthetic preference relates to the works of art that you like.

However, aesthetics are subjective. Therefore, your aesthetic preference can be a different from that of others.

Art is very different from reality. In fact, the most important aspect of art is that it mimics or recreates reality but not reality. Art imitates and revisits what it is supposed to be but it is not reality. Art has an own subjective aesthetic criteria.

Reasons why art is not important:

The way art is used in daily life has a massive effect on how people think. It shapes up how you approach life. This creates a long-lasting impact on people.

If you have an important role to play in shaping someone's life, then you are not required to spend so much time on developing your artistic skills.

In fact, artistic skills are more likely to be inherited from the genes of your parents. Therefore, art should be developed through practical practice and experience.

Art is not important because the time spent on it is not necessary. Because of the introduction of the computer and Internet, art is a lost skill. It is just a wasted money because such an artistic skill is not worth the amount spent in developing it.

On the other hand, spending time on practice will make you master a skill that is very difficult to obtain.

Art is not important because many people may take it for granted and will not put it high up on their priorities. For most people, time is limited and money is a constraint.

Therefore, most of them decide to spend money on more important things. However, the art requires time and commitment. One would need to spend hours and hours of practice in order to master the skill.

Furthermore, it is not possible to spend money on such an art skill.

For most people, money is the main concern. It is understandable because it is very difficult to draw a salary from a non-artistic job. One should decide whether the investment of the time is worth it or not.

Other reasons (mostly good and some bad):

New technologies won't replace art

We live in an era that is very advanced and fast paced. We have smart phones, laptops, high-speed Internet, computers and almost everything else one can imagine.

This is why there is no excuse to take art for granted and even though technology changes, it will never replace the uniqueness of art.

The only thing that may happen is that it may lead to a decline in the amount of art one can afford, but that is still better than never having the opportunity to own art at all.

Art is limited by human capacities

The greatest artists are very hard to find and even more difficult to admire. You have to be extremely talented and dedicated to learn everything about art. There is no way that you can be a mediocre artist and expect to be an excellent artist in the future.

Some people that are very good in one art or another are not good in a different area and this is how a huge variety of art is available in the market.

For instance, a painter can not only paint, but he has to paint with oils and other types of media that are very difficult to do, even for talented artists.

So, even though this may be the case, it doesn't mean that there is no room for artists to improve. You should always try to keep your eyes open and get to know other artists, as you never know where your skills will take you.

New technologies can't develop your art

There is no way that even the most advanced technology could ever replace your passion for art. Even if you were able to become a master at the art of painting, would you be able to paint like Leonardo Da Vinci?

I'm sure you'd have a hard time trying to paint like the master and for some people, it is just not possible. But, as long as you can appreciate the art that you are creating and learn from it, that's all that really matters.

This is why the art world doesn't need to worry that we might be changing to a "tech world" where art is taken for granted.

Creating art has value

Although new technologies may be the trend in the future, I doubt that we will ever fully live in a "tech world". Humans have always been very creative and we can always make use of the technologies around us.

Our creations still have their own beauty, regardless of what type of device they were created on. It's very clear that technology has opened up the world to us and that we can work with computers, but the "art world" is where we can feel proud of what we created.

The art world is what we make of it, not what we have to make of it. When we find the right techniques and create the right kind of art, we can be very proud of it.

There is nothing like creating a beautiful piece of art that makes you feel good and this is what makes the art world so great.
