This article will discuss reasons why art is not worth dying for and why people shouldn’t give their lives for art.
Whatever your opinion on art may be, the fact remains that human beings don’t have a monopoly on creativity. Art encompasses a wide range of forms. And while we believe it to be the sole purpose of humanity to express ourselves through it, this is not true.
It is really important that we understand that art is a form of expression. And the purpose of art is to make you feel something.
Now, this is not to say that all art is about making you feel something. Art can be anything from poetry to painting. It is just that something makes art different from the average human activity.
And what makes something a “person” is the “emotional” function that it serves.
One of the major reasons why people give their lives to art is because they believe art serves them. And if it doesn’t, then they think they will die for nothing. However, this is just one of the many lies that make people believe that art is worth dying for.
Another major reason why people give their lives for art is because they pretend to be art. They think that when people look at their art, they will be in awe. And that is when they feel alive and so they will rush to do the next piece of art.
But what they fail to realize is that art does not give you the same feeling you get when you watch a movie. You don’t see your favourite film and tell yourself you will go and watch it again. This is because of its emotional function.
This emotional function will get converted into something else once you are outside the theater.
Art is just different.
Now, it is time to make this clear to you, dear reader.
Art should never be given up. However, you should understand the difference between creativity and creativity. Creativity is about expressing yourself in the form of an idea. And it is your thinking which makes it creative.
But you cannot create something new out of thin air.
Similarly, it is your ability to empathize and communicate with other people that makes you an artist. Art is a social activity. Artistic expression should be inclusive. Artists are not private people.
They are not paintings that only they can see. They are often seen as public figures. The way you portray yourself in art should also be seen as a representation of yourself and not your private thoughts.
So, the next time you want to talk about how you made an art on your computer or you want to look through your sketchbook and think about how you are a part of history, ask yourself one simple question.
Do you think you are really an artist or are you just using art to keep people interested in you?
