The term ‘electric vehicle’ has grown in popularity over the past few years due to all of the different types that are now available. All of these vehicles have one thing in common, though- they use electricity as their source of power! This includes hybrid cars, fully electric cars, or even dragster style battery cars! These different styles of electric car are not limited to transportation purposes only, either; some companies are creating them for recreational use as well.
Many people are drawn towards the technology of electrical motors because it is more environmentally friendly than gasoline engines. There are also many ways to store energy efficiently using batteries, so engineers must be careful how they design new models.
The type of motor used to turn the wheels in an automobile makes a big difference when talking about environmental impact. A higher powered engine requires more fuel to run, and thus uses up more gas emissions. Electric motors do not require any kind of fuel, which means there are no pollutants being emitted into the air.
There are several different types of motors you can find in electrified automobiles, with each having its own strengths and weaknesses. Engineers should stay informed of the differences between each one to make sure their car is efficient and powerful!
This article will talk about one specific type of automotive electromechanical device – the drivetrain.

An entry level automotive engineer does not need to be trained in engineering design to work as an ergonomic engineer in the car industry. That’s who!
Ergonomics (or human factor analysis) focuses on how to make sure that vehicle components are designed with consideration for how they affect the employee using them, both physically and psychologically.
This includes things like ensuring seats and desks are comfortable, looking aesthetically pleasing, and promoting psychological wellbeing (for example by reducing stress or motivating workers).
It also means making vehicles more eco-friendly so that they don’t hurt the environment too much. For instance, engineers can look into whether replacing steel with aluminum will reduce weight without losing strength, or whether switching from gasoline to electric engines is better for the air you breathe.
There are no hard and fast rules about what constitutes ergonomics research, but general guidelines include:
Reading material and studies about good practices for workplace design
Discussing potential issues related to overloading employees with too many responsibilities
Making observations of the way people use products and services and incorporating those insights into new designs
Engineering cars is already quite a rigorous practice, but there is still room for improvement when it comes to protecting your health while getting the job done!
That’s why professionals who study ergonomics take separate courses beyond just automotive engineering – some offer credit via professional associations, whereas others offer certification.

Being an E/E automotive architectural designer means designing cars that are efficient, eco-friendly, and smart. These cars use technology in ways that improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and save money for the person using the car!
Somewhere along the line, engineers got tired of spending their time trying to get fuel out of the engine as efficiently as possible while also having to make room for all of the gadgets and gizmos used for communication, entertainment, and navigation.
So they made another space: The trunk!
The new trend is to pack everything into what we call “the crossovers” or “luggage compartments” next to (or even replacing) the conventional hood scoop or hatchback door.
These spaces were always there, but now they have been designed to do something more than just store junk.
They help channel airflow around the vehicle which improves aerodynamic performance and cuts down drag, thereby increasing speed and mileage.
Furthermore, because these soft tops don’t require extra cooling or insulation, liquid coolants can be saved from being heated up during warm weather conditions which helps prevent hydrolysis (burning off of water molecules).
This article will talk about some examples of how engineering teams have rethought the way engines work by moving things into the crossover area, thus creating space needed to add more features such as touch screen displays and wireless connectivity systems.

Choosing to be trained as an engineer is one of the best decisions you can make if you want to succeed in the automotive industry. After all, being able to create new cars and designs is what engineers do!
However, becoming an engineer isn’t easy- it requires years of rigorous study that include mathematics, science, and engineering.
But there are some other reasons why becoming an auto designer or engineer is important for your career.
To begin with, most car manufacturers look at candidates with an associate degree (or less) in industrial design, product management, or mechanical engineering as potential architects.
This means that even if you aren’t formally trained as an architect, you could still get hired right away if you have the talent necessary to draw inspiration from everyday objects and apply that to vehicles.
Another reason is that many top automakers prefer hiring people who studied creative fields like art, architecture, or fashion over those with only a bachelor’s degree. This is because designers and artists often come up with novel concepts and ideas for features and shapes of automobiles.
Artists also spend time studying human perception, which helps them develop clever vehicle styling cues such as rounded lines or bright colors that appeal to the eye. These concepts are then implemented into actual cars by talented mechanics and model makers.
And lastly, engineers typically earn more than designers due to the higher education required to become an architect.

Working with an expert in vehicle design, space management, and engineering can ensure that your car is safe, efficient, and attractive to look at!
Most people are familiar with the term “architect” when it comes to designing buildings, but what about automotive architects? That is, individuals who have specializations in creating aesthetically pleasing vehicles or efficient cars. These specialists work by drawing inspiration from nature and mathematics to come up with new shapes and forms for automobiles.
Engineering underpins their designs as they find unique ways to manage weight and how efficiently cars use energy. A well-designed automobile uses beautiful curves and lines to save money on production costs while being environmentally friendly.
When looking to invest in a new car, consider talking to professionals to determine if this approach makes sense for you. Most companies will offer a free consultation where they can tell you more about themselves and why they are the right choice for you.

As mentioned earlier, not every vehicle needs an e-bumper or even a back screen to be considered that. Some vehicles only have small openings in their rear windows where adding one is enough!
Fortunately, there are many great manufacturers of aftermarket screens for these types of cars. Depending on your budget, you can choose from clear plastic ones, blacked out tempered glass ones, or heavy duty aluminum ones.
Some even offer trays which attach onto the screen so you can put drinks or snacks inside while watching a movie! Or maybe you just like having extra space to organize things.
There are also smartphone mounts available now that hang off of the phone as it slides through the window.

Recent developments in automotive technology have led to an explosion of new features and designs. Companies are now incorporating computer-aid solutions into cars! These technologies can range from fully autonomous vehicles to ones with some level of semi-autonomous functions such as lane keeping or speed monitoring.
What is often forgotten about these advanced systems, though, is how they work. Almost all of them rely on large amounts of data that go far beyond what nature provides us with as humans – weather patterns, road conditions, vehicle statistics, etc.
This is where things get tricky for automakers. The car companies must find a way to integrate this vast amount of data into their software while also ensuring it does not violate any federal regulations regarding automobile safety.
That’s why there has been so much talk lately about whether or not automobiles constitute a “connected system” under the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules.

The second major difference between conventional cars and extended-length ones is how they are built. Most of today’s car brands have transitioned to what’s called an engine-overhead-cam (OEC) architecture, where instead of using individual pushrods attached to each cylinder that get individually timed with a camshaft, there is only one tube that contains both the intake valve and exhaust valve.
This common OEC design can be seen in most vehicles made by General Motors, Volkswagen, Toyota, and others. It is much simpler than before because you do not need separate timing gears or valves per cylinder like you would with a traditional setup.
Instead, all parts fit into one unit, making it more cost effective to make and sell, say, an Iśta DVT three-cylinder turbocharged vehicle instead of a V6! This also helps reduce weight since you no longer need as many moving components.
However, this simplicity comes at a price. An automatic transmission does not work when engines use two valves per cycle —one for intake, one for ejection—so either manual transmissions must be used, which are expensive, or automatics cannot handle these types of motors.
In order to solve this problem, engineers developed something they call event-driven manifolds. Rather than having individual tubes connected to every cylinder, there is one large manifold that connects to each individual valve.

The risk with being an automotive designer is that you might be in the middle of designing something when someone comes up to you and says, “You know, I think we should take this part out.”
The chances are pretty good that they have done their research and seen what has worked for other cars like yours and how well it performs compared to your design concepts, but they still feel that way.
It is very difficult to get past that instinctive feeling about a part, so they may not use it after all.
This could mean no matter how hard you try to convince them otherwise, they will just take theirs back and find another architect to help create their car.
It can also hurt your reputation as an architect because people may look at you differently now. They may even avoid working with you due to the fear of getting bad service.
