Why Does Art Imitate Life And Reality

This article will discuss why does art imitate life and reality.

What is art imitating? It is a way of creating something which have similar kind of feelings or reaction as we have in our real life. This shows us the reasons why a person or a world is based on art.

By first understanding the presence of life in a work of art and the following events in a human life, we can begin to understand how art imitates life.

For example, the most influential person in the creation of western art and philosophy in the 19th century, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said that human being is more connected to nature than himself, and that nature does not make any distinction between being beautiful and being ugly.

He said that people living in the cities like London and Paris are dying of pollution and that's the reason why there is scarcity of beauty in the city.

This means that human beings living in an industrialized world have degraded the air we breathe and cause pollution. These things are keeping us from feeling the goodness of the nature.

Similarly, if there is no religion or religious harmony then one will think he/she is lost in the world.

This can be the reason why the creator has left us with the society. When a person is lost in the world with all the pressure and hardships from outside, he/she has no time to reflect upon his/her existence and all the beauty of life and its reality.

But, if a person can be connected to the religion and the meaning of life, then he can reflect upon his existence and our relation with the nature.

By seeing the artwork, we can find some clues that indicate that art imitating reality is a humanly nature and that we should not fight or cause pain to the people who do the same, or inspire us to do the same.

For example, when a Muslim teenager dies on the streets of a city, or if an African student is stoned by a cop for stealing a girl's phone, then the artist in his/her work who pays tribute to the victim of injustice, would not say that the individual who committed the crime is not as beautiful as the innocent victim.

As we are looking at them with different heart and different minds. Also, the artist in his/her work should not lose his/her position or think that he is no different from the person who committed the injustice.

Is it so difficult?

The great Cuban revolutionary leader and philosopher José Martí wrote: “What divides men is more obvious than it seems, but we cannot recognize this truth because we despise one another”.

Again, the artist does not think that he/she is no different from the person who thinks that we are different. The artist of the time is human being who is inspired by the reality and cannot be scared by the image of the actual reality.

In the art or the music, the composer or artist, after putting all the beauty in a work, would not make any difference in terms of being beautiful and being ugly.

The beauty of the song is not different from the beauty of the melody, so the composer or the artist would not say that his work is no different from the melody of the song.

Both of them would not say that he is only God in the song or would not say that the melody is only God in the song.

Both would say that they are all the same and they are just God. This is also what all the beautiful things that are created through the Creator are saying.

We can see that the beauty of a person is a reflection of his/her connection with the beauty of the world.

From this point of view, in our religious or nationalistic and hate-filled minds, we should not say that the only person who can be beautiful is the human being and the only person who is not as beautiful is the nonhuman, that is animal.

We should not fight or cause pain to the animals for their nonhuman status. The only one who can be hurt or angered by the animals or the nature is a human being. He does not feel the pain of a nonhuman being.

By the same token, animals do not feel the pain of the human beings. We, human beings should not fight or cause pain to the animals. They should be on the other side of the bridge.

By knowing that the human being is related to the nature and not to the nonhuman nature, we should not be disgusted with the human.

By recognizing that this human being is related to the nonhuman nature, we should not be disgusted with the nonhuman nature.

When we say “human being is the only beautiful thing in this world”, we can see a golden image of a person who has great knowledge and a great work.

But, if we say “human being is the only beautiful thing on earth”, we will see a very dark image of a person who has lots of knowledge and a great work, but who does not connect with the world.

But, if we say “human being is a brother to the nonhuman nature”, we will see the golden image of a person who is related to the world.

What would you prefer to see?

For the love of God, let us be honest with ourselves. We should see that this world is filled with a lot of people who do not know how to live in it and are not connected with the world and do not know how to love it.

The world, the things, the animals, the people, are all one, they are all God, they are all one.

Each one, with respect for the others and compassion for the suffering, is the most beautiful thing on the planet and each one should be allowed to stand on its own.
