Why Graffiti Is Considered An Art

Why is graffiti an art?

This article will explain why graffiti is an art and how graffiti is essential in our culture.

People who are younger than me don't often know what graffiti is. It takes some time to get used to the art form, but once you see it, you will never forget it.

It's not something to be afraid of- it is freedom for artists to express their messages through writing on a wall.

Graffiti is not vandalism or a form of destruction. Graffiti doesn't harm the public property or buildings it is placed on, and it does not bring down the reputation of a city.

A positive of graffiti is that it creates a street art trend in the town.

It's a way for talented artists to showcase their skills to others. People are encouraged to explore the urban jungle by viewing the various types of tags around the city.

Some people try to replicate the ones they see around. This provides a way for graffiti artists to continue to do what they love and to make a living out of it.

The two types of graffiti:

One type is purely used to communicate information about other graffiti and the other is more about art. Both types of graffiti are worth seeing and making because they give people a way to express themselves.

In terms of communication, graffiti can be used to communicate any message that one would want to send across in a certain way.

Artists can use graffiti to convey the love of life, a person's true self, new ideas, challenges, or an assortment of other things.

Graffiti is a passion!

It is an artist's way of expressing themselves. It gives them a way to create something that they might not make otherwise.

It is a form of self-expression and communication that many people will appreciate and acknowledge.

Graffiti is "visual art for the general public." The more people see a piece of graffiti, the more people can appreciate it.

The more people see and understand a bit of graffiti, the more artists can create art viewed by people in the city.

Graffiti is unity!

Graffiti has brought together many different types of people, not only in the United States but across the globe. People of all different ages, nationalities, and races come together to share a common bond.

For artists, this is a fun and creative way to express themselves and share their vision with others.

It is a fun and enjoyable way for onlookers to enjoy the art others have made in public places.

What makes graffiti different than typical art?

Graffiti is different than traditional art because an artist does not paint it, and the general public doesn't see it. Instead, it is created by a random person that is found in a parking lot, alleyway, or the streets.

It is not always about creativity or artistry, instead it is the person's creative and sometimes messy way of expressing themselves to the public.

Graffiti is important!

In general, art is influential because it is meant to bring joy to those who view it. For this reason, graffiti is an essential form of art.

Some people make graffiti just for the fun of it, they are making art. Artists who paint graffiti are also making art.

Graffiti started as a form of art when people found art boring, so they turned to more disturbing art forms.

When they realized that people enjoyed this more problematic form of art, they transformed the art form into something more mainstream.

Graffiti initially used to be done on walls, and it wasn't supposed to be permanent. That is until spray paint was invented- people could now spray things that were meant to be permanent.

Graffiti has gotten worse in recent years, but it will always be an important form of art.

It is a form of expression and self-expression, and the reason that it is an important form of art is because of its original purpose and its importance to our culture.

Reasons why graffiti is important:

Graffiti is vital to our culture for several reasons.

  • One reason is because it can be interpreted differently by everyone.
    • Different people see the same image differently depending on what kind of environment the painting was intended for. You can do this with paintings, but there are too many layers of meaning and interpretation involved with paintings to see the same thing twice.
    • With graffiti, you can see different things. It is not only a symbol, it can mean whatever you want it to mean.
  • Graffiti is important because it adds to the culture.
    • Whether it is done on a wall, on a computer, or a canvas, it adds to our culture because it is done in various ways.
  • It gives us a chance to express ourselves in multiple ways that we wouldn't be able to in any other way.
    • Graffiti adds to our culture because it is an essential form of expression.
    • In a way it is like a poem, but it isn't spoken.
    • It is something that people can do for themselves, and it allows people to get involved with art that is not permanent.
  • It can tell stories.
    • Art is meant to be interpreted in various ways, so it is up to the viewer to decide its story.
    • If the piece is a picture of a person, it isn't going to mean anything. If it is done in a way that stands for something, then it will be more critical.
  • It can help people deal with their emotions.
    • Whether it is done to deal with feeling or because it is done to respond to a mood, it can help people get over their problems. For example, you could write a sentence saying, "I'm afraid of my cat," which enables you to deal with your fear of a cat.
  • In a way, this is the same as painting or writing a poem, except that you are not always writing something that you have already registered, but you are creating something new.
    • That is different than having a poem and a painting in a book. Poems and paintings are something that is continuously changing.

You can help people with your art!

You are probably wondering why you would want to do this, and the reason you should do it is that it will help people.
